Intangible Fragility
Photography, Publication Design, 2022
A mix of still life object and gesture photography series exploring the hidden meanings and importance behind daily objects often used close to human. Gathered from six college students, daily items such as house key, water bottle, glasses and a friendship bracelet are a few example that may be ordinary for some, but precious for them. Revealed in staged scenes of impending doom, and forced usage in actual physical damage , this project aims to question whether physical or emotional obsolescence truly diminishes an object’s deeper significance.

Self Initiated Project

Presented in brief sequences, the photobook reveals these transformations through an asymmetrical, free-form layout that follows the shifting forms and situatios of each object. Striking red and purple backgrounds reflect the jarring irony of the captured themes, delivering a sharp visual sting.
“A pair of glasses may still function once repaired, yet we replace it out of shame; a friendship bracelet may lose its worth when the relationship it represented ends. Every page captures a real-life intrusive thought.”
