A minimalist mascot logo for a Japanese caramel pudding brand in Indonesia. Its form, a reminiscent of caramel syrup drizzling over pudding , expresses the brand’s bright and approachable personality while drawing on the popular Korean and Japanese café aesthetic. Designed to resonate with younger audiences and modern café culture.

To bring this visual concept to life, the initial logo exploration utilized a hand-drawn style with varying pencil and thick pen strokes to capture a natural, organic texture. Various facial expressions, gestures, and clever syrup shapes were tested to explore how the melting caramel could double as a mascot accessory, giving the character a distinct personality.

After careful drafting and exploration, three mascot and logotype pairings were chosen as the final options. Out of the three caramel syrup concepts, which included puppy bangs (A), a hat (B), and a hat with puppy ears (C), the final option was selected because it perfectly captures both the friendly and calm demeanor of the brand. The clean outline style was ultimately chosen for its lighter and more balanced visual weight.

Sweet yet balanced, the final logo of Puchipurin features a black-and-white outlined illustration with the same stroke weight as the one-line logotype. This minimal style delivers a bold statement, highlighting the mascot's cheerful expression without needing extra colors or shading.
